Michael J. Hammel

My name is Michael J. Hammel. I’m an embedded Linux developer for QSC by day who also happens to be an author and independent software developer at night. I currently live with my wife Brinda and Cody, Millie and Zeke, the three most wonderful golden retrievers in the world, in Broomfield, CO.

I have writen for multiple Linux print publications including Linux Journal, LinuxFormat Magazine and LWN and have written 4 book on GIMP including The Artists Guide to GIMP Effects from No Starch Press. I’ve spoken at the ALS, LinuxWorld and SXSW conferences and chaired multiple conferences on Linux in Colorado.

If you’ve got a question about Linux, from the kernel to distributions to user interface development, feel free to drop me a line.
